2023 GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY SYMPOSIUM
Gender – Sport- Society: Focus on the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023
Held on 28 July in Brisbane, Sunaina was a speaker at the 2023 Griffith Symposium and spoke on ‘Legacy of Mega- events: Women and Girls in Sport’. The event was hosted by SAGE ( Sport and Gender Equity) Research Network at Griffith University. The event was held during the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 to build momentum from this mega sport event with an aim to bring together diverse perspectives in advancing social change and envisioning legacies from the event and the upcoming 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.

2023 QSPORT CONFERENCE PANELIST
Held on 25 May in Brisbane, Sunaina was a panelist on the QSport Conference and spoke on a subject close to her heart- Strategies to Welcome, Engage and Retain Women and Girls in Sport. An amazing opportunity to share stage with fellow panellists Adele Pavlidis and Courtney Fewquandie and discuss key initiatives and barriers for women and girls in sport.

2023 IABCA AWARD FINALISTS
Having engagement from 400 nominees across diverse sectors, the IABCA Jury underwent an extensive and process in deliberating this incredible list of finalists. Sunaina was a finalist in the IABCA Young Professional of the Year Nominations. This award recognises outstanding achievements of a young professional in middle or senior management who has built a successful career and is under 35 years of age.
